For the moment, the system supports the milling machines with the production of the patented Power-Max standard slides that are used worldwide in the large toolmaking industry, especially in the automotive industry. Strack Norma thereby takes a clear step towards Industry 4.0 and presents itself as a pioneer in the industrial sector. The artificial intelligence, the Manufacture Management Software (MMS), plans and controls the production at the milling machines autonomously. The required order data come from the intragroup ERP-system (ERP = Enterprise Resource Planning). With this data, the MMS calculates delivery, milling and set-up times and prioritises the orders. It adjusts automatically to changes in the production schedules. The machines work around the clock in three shifts, with one shift that operates completely self-sufficiently.
