Swedish VBN Components 3D prints wear-resistant alloys with the brand name Vibenite, which noticeably enhance the lifetime and performance of components. In 2018 the company won the ”Innovation of the Year” award in its county for “The World’s Hardest Steel” and clients can be found globally. Until now, VBN’s products have only been used in industrial applications, but now they have also come into royal use.

King Carl XVI Gustaf celebrates 50 years as Chief of State and therefore, together with Queen Silvia, visits Sweden's 21 counties during the year. When the turn came to Uppsala on 27 April, VBN was commissioned to manufacture the commemorative plaque as well as a shovel that was used when planting the Swedish whitebeam that now stands at Uppsala Castle in memory of the day.

“It means a lot to VBN to be a representative of industrial innovation in Uppsala County. We also know that His Majesty has a great interest in Swedish industry, which makes it especially rewarding to contribute to the anniversary event”, says Magnus Bergman, CEO of VBN Components AB.

VBN Components is a very active and steadily growing company. During the year, they will be seen at several exhibitions in the USA (Rapid + TCT, 2-4 May), Japan and Germany. There will also be visits to new licence customers who will start manufacturing components in Vibenite in-house, and therefore need to be trained in the process.
