From the 6th to the 11th March 2023, the international trade fair for the metalworking industry took place in Taiwan. More than 45,000 visitors came to Timtos 2023, including nearly 6,000 international visitors from more than 100 countries.

At this year’s Timtos in Taiwan attracted global attention, despite growing tensions with neighbouring China. According to trade fair organiser Taitra, 45,000 visitors from more than 100 countries came to the Taipei exhibition centre. Among them, delegations were from Turkey, Vietnam, Indonesia, Spain and Algeria. The top five countries with the highest turnout were Japan, Malaysia, India, South Korea and Thailand. The online exhibition will continue to run until April 6 and has already reached 7,000 visitors from nearly 15 countries.
Many business deals were made during the show hours and the exhibitors were delighted with the considerable orders secured on-site. Femco, a comprehensive steel manufacturing company has also won orders from many Southeast Asian countries.
The Lead Procurement Engineer from Haas Automation in the United States was excited to see more Taiwan manufacturers producing new-gen parts, with more options than before. The Indian delegation and a senior reporter of the Spanish magazine Interempresas praised Taiwan machine tools for its outstanding capability to provide high-quality and durable products with competitive pricing.
The line-up of events, the Future Manufacturing Forum, ESG Seminars, Maker Workshop, Insights Talk, Marine & Offshore Machinery Seminar, and Metalworking Ecosystem Guided Tours, accommodated roughly 1,000 attendees. For those unable to attend in person, show highlights which were easily accessible through “Manufacturers Win Podcast” and the co-branded online video coverage presented by Modern Machine Shop, “Media Eye on Timtos 2023” have already enjoyed more than 20,000 views and listens.
Timtos is scheduled to return in March 2025.
