Meusburger's H 1000 clamping system for mould-making is known for its high efficiency. Now, the company has designed and constructed the H 3000 system to match the standard hole pattern of Meusburger die sets. According to the company, users can work quickly and efficiently achieve precise, repeatable accuracy with the H 3000. The die set plates are aligned and clamped where it is important for the die set function, i.e., in the guide holes.
Zero clamping systems help reduce set-up times since they enable quick and precise positioning, fixing and clamping of workpieces in one work step. This is especially important if there is a high number of variants or a large number of die set plates. The H 3000 clamping system for die-making was based on the H 1000 clamping system for mould-making. The result is short set-up times during the machining of die set plates. Thanks to a dimensionally perfect stamping die, the stamped parts comply with the highest quality guidelines, Meusburger says.
Once aligned and fixed to the machine, the die set plates can be clamped quickly and effectively on the H 3000 with both precision and repeatable accuracy. Clamping without interfering contours by means of expansion rings in the guiding holes simplifies programming and minimises the risk of collision.
Together with Meusburger's standard die sets, the H 3000 provides high quality of stamped parts. The precision of the H 3000 and the accuracy of Meusburger's standard die sets result in an exact and dimensionally perfect stamping die, Meusburger reports. Whether on the milling machine or the EDM machine, the plate can be properly clamped and machined thanks to anti-rotation protection. Thanks to the very tight tolerances of the mounting holes and the clamping elements, the die plates can be clamped and machined with repeatable accuracy in the μ range. This saves valuable time and money in production, so that the H 3000 clamping plate will "break even" after just a few dies. Set-up times are substantially reduced by using the multifunctional clamping system.
