An expanded modular coupling system

The Hasco multi-coupling system allows for the central connection of several temperature control circuits in just one work step. It offers many advantages in process optimisation. Set-up processes can be easily carried out with a safe and simple connection of the machine and mould side with just one lever movement, without the risk of mixing up lines, as Hasco explains.

In addition to the standard system, the new USA (ZI) and French (FRA) systems are now available as open or closed versions with valve. In addition, the low-leakage multi-coupling system is now also available exclusively as an HT version with absolutely flat sealing end faces. This reliably prevents the leakage of temperature control media during decoupling. The temperature resistance of the multi-couplings could be increased to 180 °C with water as cooling medium, which brings considerable competitive advantages, as it is further stated.

Hasco now offers an extended range of services for customers all over the world. In total, the programme expansion includes 60 new products with three series each. Individually equipable 6-, 12- and 20-fold systems are available, whereby individual couplings can also be exchanged without dismantling hoses. The modular system, which also includes nipples, grommets and hoses, enables individual assembly as well as easy integration into all existing systems. Variants with internal or external threads, Push-Lok or hose nozzles can be designed. Hasco service is also available at any time.

Four control units for hot runner injection moulding

Hasco hot runner also highlights the easy-to-use control units. Four types can be selected, which offer the following features:

With the Basezone H1250/... is a basic control unit that can be supplied with 1, 2 and 4 control loops. The improved, self-optimising control characteristics, a soft start and LED displays for set/actual temperature, control parameters and a clear alarm diagnosis ensured trouble-free plastics processing. The robust unit convinces with its simplicity, as it is designed as a "plug and play" system. Only the classic additional features such as boost and standby as well as the option of switching to manual control mode in percent are available.

Next in line is the Clickzone H1270/... controller, which can have 3 or 6 control loops. In principle, it has the same features as the Basezone, but a 2-colour LED band indicates the operating status. If flexibility is required in injection moulding, a plug-in module can be quickly exchanged even during operation.

Then we come to the Valuezone H1251/... control unit, for 6 or 12 control loops. Here, too, there is the soft start, a permanent power display, the alarm diagnosis and the LED band for displaying the operating status. If everything fits, the control accuracy ranks around a value of less than 1 °C, emphasises Hasco.

The last control system is called Primezone H1281/..., which rounds off Hasco's portfolio. This series convinces with the highest control accuracy, intuitive ease of use and comprehensive diagnostic functions. The touch display and the implemented software enable simple and intuitive operation, as with modern smartphones. With the three table-top housing sizes, 6 to 48 control zones can be controlled, and with the mobile version, 64 to 96 control zones can be controlled.

When the tolerance zone shows its true colours ...

In mould and tool making, defined colours are the preferred method for identifying tolerances in 3D CAD designs. With the aim of simplifying the work of designers by means of a standardised colour scheme, Hasco, as it says, developed the industry standard with various cooperation partners as part of a joint project.

A uniform colour table for tool and mould makers was developed for this purpose, which makes it possible to identify tolerances of workpieces in the 3D design quickly and easily, as it goes on to say. The result is a standardised colour table (VDWF Guideline 2020-1) for tool and mould making, which is available on the Hasco website and helps to clearly identify tolerances through defined colours. In the process, the common CAM systems could read in 3D models directly, automatically recognise the colours and derive the tolerance from them. Misinterpretation when converting from a 2D drawing would thus be effectively avoided. Actual dimensions are automated by corresponding measuring systems and can be compared with the 3D model, they say. According to Hasco, this simplifies process automation. This tool also makes it easy to exchange models for production at other locations.
