NTK Cutting Tools is set to merge with Tungaloy Corporation on 1 January 2027, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The combined organisation will operate under the Tungaloy corporate name, while retaining NTK Cutting Tools as a brand and dedicated division.

Alongside the merger, plans have been finalised for a new NTK headquarters and manufacturing facility in the Nagoya area of Japan. According to the companies, the investment will increase production capacity and introduce advanced manufacturing technologies. The site will accommodate manufacturing, engineering, marketing and corporate functions.

The merger will combine Tungaloy’s cutting tool portfolio and expertise in grade development with NTK’s ceramic cutting tools and miniature tooling ranges. The companies say the integration will give customers and distribution partners access to a broader range of technologies and application expertise.
