Used in injection moulding machines of hot runner and manifold systems, electric nozzle heaters are pushed onto a nozzle and tightened to heat the nozzle cores. According to the company, the heating elements are usually fixed with a screw and a wedge mechanism, which is a problem when space is limited in compact hot runner blocks.

As a result, the product development team at T+H has developed an innovative (for this heater type) sliding and wedge mechanism, where the heater is simply pushed onto the nozzle core and axially secured by moving the wedge, the company explains and adds that the market response has been very positive.

“We already have customers who are successfully using this innovative and intelligent heater in the market, to the benefit of their hot runner systems,” Christoph Fodor, director of sales at Türk+Hillinger, says.
