The modular design concept of Meusburger's hot runner products enables adaptable mould design while maintaining the benefits of standardised components. This combination supports mould makers and injection moulders in implementing efficient and cost-effective solutions tailored to their specific needs.

The extensive Meusburger product range includes well-matched components for individual hot runner solutions. Customers can choose from a broad selection designed to meet diverse industry-specific requirements. For both simple and complex applications, Meusburger provides suitable components to address various production challenges.

Meusburger places particular emphasis on its Smartfill nozzle series, which incorporates several features aimed at meeting the technical demands of injection moulded parts. Suitable for shot weights ranging from 0.2 to 2,500 g per nozzle, these nozzles can process a variety of materials — from easily processed polyolefins to high-temperature plastics. The Smartfill nozzle series is available in two versions: a screw-in type that ensures a leak-proof connection to the manifold and eliminates the need for height adjustment, and a slide seal type, where nozzle length is independent of spacing and bending moments are reduced.

For ease of integration, Meusburger offers hot runner systems equipped with Smartfill nozzles, delivered ready to install and connect. These systems are fully assembled and tested for functionality before delivery. Users simply insert the manifold into the fixed mould half and attach it to the cavity plate. The secure screw connection between the nozzle and manifold removes the need for time-consuming height adjustments to the clamp plate.

Meusburger also supplies customised hot halves, available with either open nozzles or as valve gate systems. The only component still required is the cavity plate. These hot halves include Smartfill nozzles, are adjusted for leak-free operation, and allow for pin actuation either individually or via a lifting plate. Delivered ready to connect according to customer specifications, the hot halves include suitable electrical plugs and media connections, facilitating planning, assembly, and production.

To complement the Smartfill nozzle range, Meusburger offers operating units in various designs and sizes. These hydraulically or pneumatically operated units allow for precise adjustment of the pin position without affecting the stroke. The pin can be easily disconnected and left in place when removing the unit, significantly reducing installation and adjustment time.

Standardisation across hot runner components ensures consistently high quality and reliable availability for Meusburger customers. This contributes to time and cost savings.
