From 10 to 12 March 2026, Paris will once again become the global meeting point for the composite materials industry as JEC World 2026 opens its doors at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition centre. Under the motto “Pushing the Limits”, the world’s leading composites trade fair aims to demonstrate how advanced materials and manufacturing technologies are expanding technical, economic and sustainability boundaries across multiple industries.

Building on the momentum of a record-breaking 2025 edition, which also marked the event’s 60th anniversary, JEC World 2026 is expected to bring together the full breadth of the international composites ecosystem. More than 1,400 exhibitors and around 46,000 professional visits from over 100 countries are anticipated, ranging from global industry leaders and specialised SMEs to startups, research institutes, academics and investors.

Focus on applications and sustainability

JEC World continues to position itself as a cross-industry platform reflecting the growing relevance of composite materials in a wide range of applications. Exhibits and conference content will cover sectors such as aerospace and space, automotive and rail transportation, renewable energy, construction and civil engineering, marine, sports and leisure, as well as emerging applications including drones and hydrogen infrastructure.

A strong emphasis will be placed on sustainability, recycling and circularity, responding to increasing regulatory pressure and market demand for resource-efficient solutions. Alongside new material developments, the show will highlight advances in recycling technologies, repair concepts, reuse strategies and circular design approaches, underlining the role of composites in enabling lighter, more durable and more energy-efficient products.

Knowledge platform and innovation hub

Beyond its exhibition halls, JEC World 2026 positions itself as a global knowledge and networking platform. Over the three days, a comprehensive conference programme will take place across three open stages — two Agoras and one Open Stage — featuring international experts from industry and research. Topics will range from advanced manufacturing and automation to digitalisation, artificial intelligence, circular economy strategies and pathways toward carbon neutrality.

Startups and emerging technologies will again play a central role. The JEC Startup Booster remains one of the most established startup programmes in the composites and advanced materials sector. From more than 100 applications, 20 finalists will be selected to present their innovations to a jury of industry experts and investors. In parallel, an expanded Startups Village with more than 60 young companies will provide visibility for new business models and deep-tech solutions.

Complementing this, Investor Day formats and one-to-one meetings are designed to facilitate exchanges between startups, corporate partners and financial stakeholders, reinforcing JEC World’s role as a bridge between innovation and industrialisation.

Business networking and live experiences

Business matchmaking continues to gain importance at JEC World. The Business Meetings Program connects qualified buyers with exhibitors before and during the event, enabling targeted discussions and efficient scheduling. On the show floor, an expanded area for live manufacturing demonstrations will showcase advanced production technologies in operation, offering visitors direct insight into process capabilities and automation concepts.

The exhibition will also feature several thematic Villages, providing structured access to key topics along the composite value chain. These include the Circularity Village, focusing on recycling, repair and reuse; the Bio-Materials Village, developed in cooperation with the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp; the SMEs Village; and the Startups Village, which gathers emerging companies and Startup Booster finalists.

Innovation Planets and awards preview

A recurring highlight of JEC World is the JEC Innovation Planets, presenting a curated selection of composite parts and applications identified by the JEC team worldwide. These exhibits illustrate how composite technologies are contributing to more sustainable, efficient and high-performance solutions across industries.

Ahead of the physical event, the JEC World 2026 Premiere will take place as a live online event on 12 January 2026. The digital format will present the main highlights of the upcoming edition, announce the Startup Booster finalists and reveal the winners of the JEC Composites Innovation Awards 2026.

JEC Composites Innovation Awards: finalists announced

Established in 1998, the JEC Composites Innovation Awards have become a benchmark for recognising collaborative and forward-looking projects in the composites sector. Over the past 28 years, more than 2,200 companies have participated, with 269 companies and 811 partners awarded for outstanding innovations.

For the 2026 edition, 154 applications were submitted. From these, 33 finalists were selected across 11 categories, including Aerospace, Automotive & Road Transportation, Circularity & Recycling, Digital, AI & Data, Renewable Energies, Railway Infrastructure and Sports & Leisure.

The projects are evaluated by an international jury comprising representatives from academia, research institutions and industry. The winners will be officially announced during the JEC World Premiere in January 2026, setting the stage for the industry’s key gathering in March.

With its focus on innovation, sustainability and cross-industry collaboration, JEC World 2026 aims to once again define the technological and strategic direction of the global composites market.
