Heavy Lifting Electric chain hoist: all-new drive architecture and long service life
Manufacturing, assembly, process applications — they all need reliable and easy-to-handle hoists. For operators looking for a productive lifting partner with an exceptionally long service life, Konecranes has developed the Konecranes C-Series.
Electric chain hoists are the little helpers in everyday life of mould makers. They are used when comparatively light loads of up to five tonnes need to be lifted vertically, for example to be able to work on a tool or mould more easily and ergonomically.
Konecranes used its powerful main hoist components to develop an advanced electric chain hoist: the Konecranes C-Series.
For each crane and hoist, the company designs the motor, gearbox and controls exactly as they are needed. This enables the hoist experts to realise chain hoists with nominal loads from 500 to 5,000 kilograms. The interaction between components and software is also designed individually. Thus, the electric chain hoists of the C-series offer the right performance for every application, are energy-efficient and, thanks to the coordination of their components, save time and money on the maintenance and servicing. Main hoist components are used in all new Konecranes equipment, from C Series electric chain hoists to M Series winches.
Konecranes' new C-Series chain hoist is designed for more than a million smooth operations. A completely new motor powers the chain hoist, cooled more effectively than previous models and delivering even more power. In addition, a duty cycle factor of up to 60 percent significantly extends the operating time.
A redesigned precision gearbox with lifetime lubrication means that no regular maintenance is required. The design also makes all wear parts easy to reach and replace. The chain sprocket and galvanised chain also make an optimal pair. In this way, the operation runs safely and with reduced friction. The manufacturer has designed the C-Series electric chain hoist to be particularly flexible in order to be prepared for any application. The chain hoist can be equipped with an open or closed trolley, as a motorised trolley — also with a low headroom for maximum lift — and with a curved trolley for smooth movement along curved rails.
