At Moulding Expo, Strack Norma will be presenting innovations for the mould and die industry.

The new Z71 sliding blocks ensure more precise centring between mould and mould insert. The precision sliding block is a component of index plate moulds and 2-component moulds, among others. It ensures precise centring of inserts or mould plates during the change process, as the tolerances do not increase from dimension to dimension, in contrast to conventional sliding blocks. With a tolerance of 0 / -0.005 mm, these are manufactured for direct installation as fine centring. The advantage of the new sliding blocks in the range is the constant close tolerance independent of the dimension. In addition to use in index plate moulds, the sliding blocks can also be used in other areas as fine centring. Five sizes are currently offered in widths from 10 to 22 mm.

Protecting water circuits individually with new water filters

The Z7702 expands the current product portfolio with another water filter that is flexible in its application and ensures a smooth production process. The internal filter insert can be inserted below the cooling connection. The user can choose between filtering a single cooling circuit or all cooling circuits.

The Z7702 water filter, which was developed for cooling bores or core cooling, uses its filter insert with 200 μ mesh size to remove the finest dirt particles from the cooling circuit, which can otherwise lead to clogged cooling channels or early wear of sealing elements. It is temperature-resistant up to 300°C and has a pressure loss of 15 percent at a water pressure of 10 bar. Due to its uncomplicated design, the easily dismantled filter insert can be removed and cleaned without any problems.

Easy lubrication with silicone brush

With the new Z9087 silicone brush, which is specially designed for oiling and greasing, no contamination is left behind in the tool or contour area. Unlike conventional soldering brushes that lose bristles over time and can be a potential hazard to the tool or contour area, the new Z9087 silicone brushes offer a flexible and durable surface. Thanks to the flexible silicone bristles, the brushes can also work effectively in hard-to-reach areas and ensure an even distribution of the lubricant.

In addition, the silicone brushes are easy to clean and can simply be washed off in warm water. The width of the brush ensures increased lubricant absorption and is particularly suitable for large-area panels. The brushes are temperature resistant up to 230°C, making them ideal for use in lubrication processes where even the smallest impurities can cause major problems.

Safety ring bolt saves time during tool transport

The SN1595 safety ring bolt is a rotating and swivelling stop swivel which, thanks to the quick and easy installation of the Quick Lift Ring System, allows time savings of up to 80 percent compared to the classic version. With just one push-button, the stop swivel can be fixed in the internal thread within seconds and enables perfect alignment in the direction of pull thanks to its rotating and swivelling function.

In addition to the SN1595, a new standard variant in steel and a stainless steel version for use in clean rooms are also offered. The SN1597 is available in sizes M6 to M42 and the SN1599 in sizes M6 to M30.

Increased flexibility with 3D printed spiral cores

The new 3D-printed spiral cores for close-contour core cooling realise an optimised cooling system that shortens cycle times and increases moulding quality.

The spiral cores enable targeted and uniform cooling at every point of the component and prevent undesired effects such as warping or cracks. The spiral structure of the core ensures optimum heat dissipation and high dimensional stability of the plastic products with reduced cycle times The spiral cores are available in three different versions, single-start, double-start and double-start for ejection, with dimensions from Ø12 to Ø 80 and in lengths from 125 to 250 mm, equipped with rheologically optimised trapezoidal cross-sections that guarantee low pressure losses.
