Equipped with abrasive or diamond blades, the machine cuts virtually any type of material, from ductile metals to brittle ceramics, the company says. Its design is good for consistent and precise-sectioning performance. The cutter has a powerful motor, intuitive user interface and rapid sample fastening and thus, suitable for busy laboratories requiring highest quality standards.

The straightforward, intuitive touchscreen layout featuring animated icons provides access to all cutting parameters and facilitates programming of consistent, repeatable single or serial cutting. An innovative, rapid-clamping rail and a new, tool-less vising system offer easy fastening and adjustment of the sample within a few seconds. Cutting can be performed either manually by means of a joystick or automatically, according to a previously entered program, with consistent results. The Smart-Cut automated, cutting-blade feed system avoids damage to the cutting machine and to the sample, resulting in optimised cutting processes whatever the sample material.

Buehler offers a wide range of accessories for the Iso-Met High Speed precision cutters, including rapid-rail vise holder, single and double saddle chucks, a variety of quick clamp vises and a retrofit kit with an external recirculation coolant tank that provides enhanced cooling in demanding applications, the company adds.

Iso-met models will be presented in hall 5 at booth 5135.
