With the ATA process, absorbing plastics can for the first time be joined reliably and with high precision — a breakthrough for applications in the automotive, medical, and consumer goods industries. “ATA opens up entirely new possibilities for designers and manufacturers,” says Thomas Sontheimer, Senior Project Leader Welding Quipment at LPKF.

Complementing this, the Thermopro software provides intelligent thermographic quality control specifically developed for laser plastic welding. It monitors the process in real time, operates non-destructively, and can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. Manufacturers benefit from higher process reliability, shorter cycle times, and greater design freedom in products and materials.

Visitors to K 2025 can experience the new ATA technology and the Thermopro system live at the LPKF booth. Demonstrations and presentations will highlight how these solutions make manufacturing processes safer and more efficient.
