From 18 to 21 November 2025, Formnext will once again take place in Frankfurt am Main, bringing together the global additive manufacturing (AM) industry. More than 800 exhibitors are expected at this year’s event, which aims to showcase technological innovations and promote the industrialization of AM across a wide range of sectors. Tickets are now available in the online shop, with an early-bird discount running until 21 October.

According to the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt, the exhibition will feature numerous world premieres alongside an extensive supporting program focused on practical applications of AM in industries such as aerospace, mechanical engineering, and jewelry. The program will include presentations, conferences, showcases, and panel discussions designed to provide deeper insights into new technologies and use cases.

Spain as partner country

Spain will be the official partner country of Formnext 2025. Around 30 Spanish companies are expected to exhibit, representing a rapidly growing AM industry that is particularly active in the fields of systems, materials, and R&D. The organizers highlight Spain’s role as a bridge between Europe and Latin America, as well as its long-standing presence among the strongest exhibitor nations at Formnext.

Extensive supporting program

The supporting program will feature three presentation stages. The Industry Stage will address overarching topics such as sustainability, AM industrialization, and design for AM. The Application Stage will showcase user experiences, while the Technology Stage will present new developments from exhibitors.

Daily Discover3DPrinting seminars, held in cooperation with the Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing (ACAM), will provide newcomers with an overview of AM production. Additional deep-dive sessions will cover topics such as large-format plastic 3D printing, directed energy deposition (DED), data-driven design, and scaling production.

Awards, start-ups, and career offers

The Formnext Awards will again recognize start-ups, sustainable business concepts, and innovative technologies in six categories, with public voting starting in early October. The finalists will be presented online and on-site, with the winners announced during an award ceremony on 20 November.

Young companies will also present their work in the Start-up Area and at the Young Innovators booth, organized in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWK). A Pitchnext event on 18 November will give them the opportunity to present to investors and industry partners.

Formnext will also include career-related offerings under the banner AM Jobs@Formnext. Alongside a job wall, visitors will be able to take part in career counseling and a professional photo shoot on 20 November.

Further showcases and symposia

The VDMA will highlight the use of AM in mechanical engineering, while the BE-AM showcase will focus on 3D printing in the construction sector. The BE-AM Symposium on 19 November will address technological developments and future trends in this field. In addition, the AM Innovation and Standards Summit@Formnext, organized by ASTM International, will take place on 17 November, one day before the exhibition begins.
