Company News Addmaster and MGR Foamtex boost air travel safety
Developed specifically in response to Covid-19, MGR Safewall will utilise the properties of Biomaster to provide inherent protection against a wide range of viral and microbial threats
Surfaces treated with this technology are proven to reduce the microbial load and the opportunities for cross contamination and provide an important second line of defence in addition to regular cleaning protocols, the company explains.
The active antimicrobial agent from Addmaster is built into the product during the manufacturing process, so protection is effective 24/7 for the useful lifetime of the item.
“We are delighted to partner with MGR Foamtex on this new hygiene innovation for the airline industry. It’s so important that our everyday lives can return to the new normal as soon as possible and this collaboration is a significant and exciting step in that process,” explained Addmaster Founder and CEO Paul Morris.
“The strategic agreement is the first in what we hope to be many partnerships, with advanced trials currently taking place with a number of global organisations involved in transport.
“You don’t realise how many surfaces you touch when travelling through airports and on aircraft: luggage trolleys, security trays, numerous door handles, counters, seat tables and armrests. Regular cleaning is vital, but Biomaster can be a very powerful ally in protecting passengers.”
Les Simpson, MGR Foamtex CEO, commented: “The whole team at MGR Foamtex is excited by this agreement. Working with experts at Biomaster, we will use our aviation expertise to transfer technology and to bring a fantastic and well-established product into the sector. MGR Safewall will allow our customers to address both the current threat of Coronavirus and deliver long-term value through permanently enhanced cabin hygiene.”
