Called the XS linear system, a patent-pending innovation, it is said to be the new standard for side gating with minimum cavity distances. According to Witosa, XS combines all advantages of existing solutions with technological improvements.
At Fakuma, it will also be seen in action in one of the smaller injection moulding machines, the Boy 65E. XS provides a standard programme, in applications as a single or multi-block system. It is small, leakage-free and offers optimum temperature control and melt flows without dead corners.
The single block has a nest spacing from 15mm up to 45mm and the nozzle tip point distance of the opposing tips of a minimum of 62mm. The XS Linear Single Block is available from two through to eight cavities. In the multi-block version, the cavity spacing is 15mm, while the tip point distance of the opposing tips has a minimum of 62mm. The XS Linear Multiblock System is available starting from eight cavities.
The nozzles with a maximum diameter of 16mm are screwed leak-proof in the manifold and can take on a maximum shot weight of 15gm per nozzle. Customers have the free choice of any nozzle tip from the Witosa product range. When technically demanding materials are used, temperature control is optimally designed to enable a thermally balanced melt flow with a separate heating and a thermocouple at each nozzle.
The XS linear system can also be delivered as a fully balanced, wire-finished linear system or as a hot half. Moreover, a tip change can be made directly on the injection moulding machine on the heated system.
At Fakuma, Witosa will be Hall 2, Booth 2208.
