Siemens Digital Industries Software announced that it has been awarded an IDC 2024 SaaS CSAT Award for Product Lifecycle Management & Computer-Aided Design (PLM/CAD)1 by IDC, a leading provider of IT research and advice. Based on ratings collected in IDC’s 2024 SaaS Path Survey, the company placed in the highest scoring group for vendors serving the PLM/CAD Software as a Service (SaaS) application market.

The Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of industry software includes SaaS delivery of Siemens’ well-known brands including Teamcenter X software for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Designcenter X, which includes NX software and Solid Edge software for product design and engineering.

“It’s a true honor to receive IDC’s award for SaaS customer satisfaction for CAD and PLM for 2024 as we believe it validates our approach to delivering the tools that our customers need and the support necessary to make them successful,” said Joe Bohman, executive vice president, PLM Products, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “We’re pleased at the recognition from our customers as a trusted brand that delivers exceptional user experiences and industry-focused capabilities in Teamcenter X and Designcenter X. We’re committed to enabling innovation and digital transformation backed up with excellent SaaS operations and customer support.”

“IDC’s research shows that product development collaboration is driving a shift in Product Lifecycle Management and Computer-Aided Design (PLM/CAD) usage toward cloud and SaaS deployments to improve engineering time, cost, and quality metrics. However, research also shows that manufacturers have concerns regarding the impact of SaaS on security and IP protection. Based on ratings collected in IDC’s 2024 SaaS Path Survey, Siemens placed in the highest scoring group for vendors serving the PLM/CAD Software as a Service application market, indicating that manufacturers are confident in Siemen’s ability to enhance business value and reduce risks,” said John Snow, Research Director, Product Innovation Strategies, IDC.

IDC’s customer satisfaction award program, the CSAT Awards, recognizes the leading SaaS vendors in each application market who receive the highest customer satisfaction scores based on IDC’s SaaS Path survey. SaaS Path is a global survey of approximately 2,900 organizations across all geographic regions and company sizes, where customers are asked to rate their vendor on more than 30 different customer satisfaction metrics. SaaS Path is IDC’s premier SaaS-specific benchmarking survey, providing demand-side guidance on the mind and journey of SaaS buyers, including a deep dive into 23 functional application markets.
