Cutting tool manufacturer, Lach Diamant introduced its portfolio of diamond and carbide tools at productronica in 1977. At this year's Productronica, visitors will see an updated range of tools tailored to the efficient production of printed circuit boards for the world's leading electronics manufacturers.

These include depanelling saws, which can precisely cut PCBs in mass production, achieving cutting widths from 0.3 mm. There are also toothed tools with fine pitches down to 1.4 mm.

As for scoring tools: Initially these were mainly used for single layer boards. However, as technology has advanced, they can now handle a wider range of materials. Today's materials include fibreglass, ceramics and hybrid materials. In response to these developments, the company has introduced high performance PCD scoring saws with improved durability.
