Digital Metrology Solutions has introduced Trace Boss+ software, an upgrade of their previous Trace Boss software. The new software combines surface texture and crosshatch measurement, providing a more comprehensive analysis. It is compatible with most portable surface roughness gages and allows users to easily save, store, export, and output all their data. Trace Boss+ also includes a built-in crosshatch functionality that works with any USB-equipped microscope, enabling users to obtain crosshatch angle information instantly. This data can be integrated with surface roughness parameters into a single file, making it easier for professionals working with engine components to get a detailed view of their materials. The software aims to be a complete toolset for surface analysis, offering an easy interface for understanding surface roughness, angle and quality.
