The 23rd edition of Lamiera, Italy’s only trade fair dedicated exclusively to sheet metal, tube, and profile processing technologies, concluded on May 9 at Fieramilano Rho with positive attendance figures. The four-day event attracted more than 18,000 professional visitors, along with over 6,000 additional attendees from the concurrently held Made in Steel exhibition, thanks to a cooperative access agreement.

Organized by CEU — Centro Esposizioni Ucium and promoted by Ucimu — Sistemi per Produrre, the fair featured over 400 exhibitors — 31 percent of them international — across a 40,000-square-metre space. Technologies on display included more than 500 operating machines covering cutting, forming, welding, automation, and, for the first time, retrofitting solutions. The event received ISO 20121:2024 certification, recognising its sustainable management practices.

International interest was notable, with visitors from 72 countries, particularly from Germany, China, Turkey, and India. Delegations were organized with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ICE-Italian Trade Agency.

The show also included 30 industry-focused events, including panel discussions and presentations of market studies. A study conducted with PwC examined trends and opportunities in the metal forming sector, while roundtable discussions featured insights from companies in aerospace, automotive, and railway industries. Approximately 520 participants attended in person, with 4,100 more joining via live stream.

Lamiera 2025 welcomed 760 students as part of the Ucimu Academy initiative, promoting industry engagement among future professionals. The event also saw strong digital engagement, with over 114,000 views on Linkedin content during the exhibition period and 98,000 website visits in the first five months of 2025 — a growth compared to the previous edition.

According to Ucimu president Riccardo Rosa, the attendance and participation underscore Lamiera’s continued significance in a sector where Italy ranks among the top global producers and exporters.
