At the Euromap General Assembly in Stuttgart, Germany, the European umbrella organisation for plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers elected a new presidency.

On occasion of the Euromap General Assembly in Stuttgart, Germany, the European plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers have elected their new presidency. Tobias Baur, CSO of the German injection moulding specialist Arburg, is the new President of the European umbrella association. Alessandro Grassi, Share holder and CEO of Frigosystem, the Italian temperature control equipment manufacturer, is on board as Vice President. They succeed President Luciano Anceschi, Tria, and Vice President Michael Baumeister, Brückner Group, who retired last year.

The new leadership aims to strengthen collaboration within the European plastics and rubber machinery sector. Given the significant challenges currently facing both Europe and the plastics industry, Euromap emphasises the importance of a united industry approach. A key focus will be supporting the sector’s transition to a circular economy through a pragmatic yet ambitious roadmap that involves all stakeholders.

Ongoing initiatives in the areas of standardisation (such as Euromap standards), data collection and exchange, as well as cooperation with trade fairs, will be further developed under the new presidency.
