Created by diffusion annealing, a so-called cracking surface is formed. Through these pores, the wire enlarges its surface and is able to absorb more cooling water. As a result, better cooling enables higher speed and cutting performance. With the correct machine settings, up to 40 % more cutting speed is achievable compared to blank wire cutting. EDM-Tec supplies European customers with Leo and Puma.
