Thanks to their compact, round design, the new SN2884 gas springs can be optimally integrated into moulds. Unlike many standard models on the market, they do not require additional cooling. As a result, the effort required to insert them into the mould is significantly reduced and the installation space is correspondingly smaller. With a springback of less than 0.1 mm, high part quality is assured. Each spring is customised to meet specific customer requirements. In addition, the springs can be locked in any stroke position, providing a high degree of flexibility. Users have the freedom to use all or part of the gas spring's stroke, depending on the requirements of their application.

To ensure reliable operation in dusty or dirty environments, Strack's controlled gas springs are available with either a protective cap (SN2884 Type 2), designed for hot forming, or a wiper ring (SN2884 Type 3), providing strong protection for a long service life.

It is also possible to interconnect the gas springs, which ensures a constant pressure in all the springs and can be filled or adjusted via a control fitting. This promotes adaptability and facilitates integration into complex systems.

To make the integration of Strack controlled gas springs into existing systems as easy as possible, a screw connection compatible with competitor models has been incorporated into the base. This reduces the effort required for a smooth implementation.
