Through closer cooperation, Siemens and Capgemini aim to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) as a central component in future manufacturing systems from the very beginning, rather than merely adding it later as an additional function. Both are focusing on 16 areas of expertise in which they aim to achieve significant improvements in production efficiency, time to market, quality, and sustainability, as further stated.

Together, Siemens and Capgemini could thus develop industry-specific enablers for challenges in the industrial sector that have so far been difficult to address. One example would be bringing together IT and production systems, which are often still used separately.

To this end, the experts are, of course, also combining their respective strengths: Siemens’ portfolio of industrial software, automation, electrification, and sustainability will create synergies with Capgemini’s engineering expertise, industry knowledge, and experience in the further development of business models, as stated in conclusion.
