Machine data and information on force, body sound or acceleration are transmitted in high quality and real time, in order to uncover malfunctions in critical-process phases. Moreover, it can be used to optimise sequences immediately. On this basis, companies are even able to plan the deployment of technicians and operators individually and can also re-adjust to requirements.
In extensive tests of the V-Box, Fraunhofer IPT's researcher found that the product is suitable for monitoring during the start-up phase of a new serial production as well as supervising production processes of high-quality items. Furthermore, it can be implemented for predictive maintenance of assembly units.
When completely integrated into existing manufacturing control systems, the V-Box can contribute significantly to transparent production and thus synchronise to Industry 4.0.
