In 2026, Nortec will be held under the motto “Production. Innovation. Future”. With a clear focus, a shorter duration and a fresh image, the Trade Fair for Manufacturers wants to strengthen its position in the industry.

After intensive evaluations, inquiries and discussions with a large number of exhibitors, the date of the trade fair in 2026 has now been fixed. Nortec will be held at the Hamburg Trade Fair Center from 3 to 5 February 2026.

The new date for Nortec was selected in order to take account of the requirements of the exhibitors and trade visitors, and ideally position the trade fair. The duration of the event was changed from four to three days with the objective of increasing the efficiency of the trade fair.

“The trade fair date in north Germany at the start of even years is firmly anchored in the industry and is very positively received. However, there were suggestions for optimisation in terms of the duration of Nortec and its content orientation. We are convinced that the adaptation decision will improve the trade fair experience for everyone involved,” said Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW).

In 2024, Nortec made a positive restart under new management by Messe Stuttgart and the VDW. “Our objective was to understand the needs of the industry and hone the trade fair concept together with the VDW. We are proud that we have succeeded with this year's Nortec in creating a good basis for the further development of the Trade Fair for Manufacturers and are looking forward to seeing the industry again at Nortec 2026 in Hamburg,” emphasised Roland Bleinroth, President and CEO of Messe Stuttgart.
