Mazak has made significant investments in its European Manufacturing Plant in Worcester this year. With a successful recruitment strategy which led to full employment of all the necessary skills to run the factory at maximum capacity, Mazak is now building machines with very short lead times.

The manufacturer will be exhibiting a full range of technology solutions at the Open House, from new UK-built vertical machining centers through to 5-axis machines, the flagship Integrex range, turning centers and laser cutting machines.

Alongside will be a variety of automation systems, including articulated robots, palletised automation solutions and specialist laser sheet metal loading and unloading. Visitors can also learn more about Mazak I-Connect, Mazak’s remote service and support package; machine spares and servicing capability, and have access to technical support from applications engineers.

The December Open House offers visitors the opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes at a highly advanced manufacturing facility, including Mazak machines making Mazak machines. Daily factory tours will take place highlighting in-house manufacturing, assembly test and shipment. Mazak’s number one finance partner, Finance for Industry, will also be on-hand to discuss tailored finance packages, including hire purchase and lease agreements.

Jason Butler, Sales Director for Yamazaki Mazak in the UK, commented: “We understand that many manufacturers are fully focused on the future and are ready to invest in the right technology to help ramp up their own production.

“We have significantly invested in our own manufacturing facilities here at Mazak to increase access to the latest machine tool technology, with the shortest possible lead times. As well as showcasing several of our UK-made machine tools, we will also have a range of applications engineers, service specialists and finance partners on hand throughout the week to ensure customers who are ready to make their next machine purchase can do so without delay.
