Kautex Maschinenbau is ushering in a new era of blow moulding with the reimagined KEB Grey Series — a future-ready platform that delivers flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability while remaining compatible with existing KEB systems.

With the re-introduction of the KEB Series, Kautex Maschinenbau is taking its legacy KEB platform into a new era, now as KEB Grey. Designed as a flexible, compact, and energy-efficient solution for the extrusion blow moulding of complex parts and packaging, the Grey Series is set to meet the evolving needs of the plastics industry — sustainably and efficiently.

Since the first KEB machines were installed, more than 3,500 systems have been put into operation worldwide. Known for their robust design and adaptability, KEB machines have supported manufacturers in delivering technical hollow parts and complex packaging, from multilayer containers to jerry cans with integrated handles.

“The relaunch of the KEB series, now called KEB Grey, combines everything that made the original great — plus everything our customers need today,” says Guido Langenkamp, Product Portfolio Manager at Kautex Maschinenbau. “The KEB has always been engineered around flexibility, uptime, and ease of use.” The relaunch is not just a technological step forward — it also embodies Kautex’s belief that "Future needs Origins." Building on 90 years of engineering excellence, KEB Grey bridges tradition and innovation, bringing the proven strengths of the original platform into a future- ready solution. As expressed in the company’s guiding principles: “We create sustainable progress by connecting our heritage with forward-looking solutions — for the benefit of our customers and the generations to come.”

The Grey Series supports Feuerherms PWDS, SFDR, and Kautex’s proprietary Datacap solutions, and can be configured for PCR materials, rapid cooling masks, or complex post-processing. It continues to support bottom-blow and integrated cooling stations for efficient production of complex hollow containers.

Whether producing large jerry cans or compact consumer packaging, KEB Grey adapts. And thanks to backwards compatibility with existing KEB molds and die heads, long-time customers can transition smoothly — protecting past investments while unlocking new potential.
