Designed specifically for manufacturers working with stainless steels and titanium alloys, the new RT100 Inoxpro from Guhring addresses tool wear challenges effectively, offering enhanced performance through an advanced carbide grade, innovative geometry, and a specialized coating technology. This combination allows manufacturers to achieve a 50 percent increase in feed rates and productivity, with a 60 percent extension in tool life over standard stainless steel drills. Additionally, the RT100 Inoxpro’s geometry supports optimal swarf control and evacuation, providing reliable process stability even for depths of up to 7XD.

The RT100 Inoxpro’s performance is driven by a sickle-shaped cutting edge for efficient swarf handling, an ultra-smooth Perrox coating for added wear resistance, and polished flute surfaces to remove swarf from the cutting area quickly, preventing buildup. Available in 3, 5, and 7XD lengths, it features a durable carbide grade that combines toughness with wear resistance, maximizing tool life.

Equipped with a 140-degree point angle and coolant channels for improved swarf removal, the RT100 Inoxpro is offered in diameters from 3 mm to 20 mm, with 0.1 mm increments. The 3XD series has overall lengths ranging from 62 to 131 mm, while the 7XD range extends from 70 to 244 mm, catering to high-precision applications that require robust stability and performance.

Accompanying the RT100 Inoxpro is the new Inoxpro fluteless tap. Featuring a refined macro and micro geometry, optimized lubricating flute design, and a polygon shape, it ensures consistent fluteless tapping in stainless and austenitic high-grade steels. To further reduce wear, the Inoxpro taps utilize a smooth, heat-resistant Hipims AICrN coating, which delivers excellent tool life and dimensional accuracy for threads, even with water-based emulsions.
