Software company Ency has announced the launch of Ency, a new brand offering a suite of CAD/CAM/OLP systems aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes. The company claims that the Ency brand goes beyond traditional automation solutions for CNC machines and industrial robot programming by fostering improved collaboration and data sharing between software providers, robot integrators, programmers, and machine operators.

The Ency product lineup includes several key offerings:

  • Ency: A CAD/CAM system designed for modern manufacturing, featuring advanced CAM technology combined with an intuitive user interface.
  • Ency Robot: An offline robot programming tool that supports toolpath calculation, kinematics management, and robot simulation.
  • Ency Tuner: A G-code simulator and NC program editor for CNC machines and industrial robots, offering simulation, fine-tuning, and re-engineering capabilities.
  • Ency Clouds: A cloud-based collaboration platform enabling communication between CAM programmers, machine operators, and project participants.

Looking ahead, Ency Software plans to expand its product offerings to include:

  • Ency Hyper: Real-time robot programming software.
  • Ency AI: An AI assistant designed to automate tasks and enhance CAM project workflows.

According to Ency Software's CEO, Andrei Kharatsidi, the company aims to address the outdated nature of existing CAD/CAM systems, which he describes as lacking in modern interfaces and interconnectivity. Ency's tools, such as Ency Tuner, are positioned as solutions to bridge these gaps by allowing users to import, simulate, and verify legacy G-code while replacing obsolete segments with Ency’s native operations.

The cloud-based Ency Clouds platform is highlighted as a key feature, offering a seamless communication tool that integrates online chat and a project library to reduce reliance on traditional methods such as emails and external storage drives. Additionally, the inclusion of an AI assistant in the platform is intended to improve productivity by automating routine tasks.
