Japanese technology company Asahi Kasei has begun European sales of the Asaclean R-Series, the latest addition to its range of purging compounds for plastics processing equipment. The new series delivers high cleaning performance while requiring significantly less rinsing material after the purging process, supporting improvements in time, cost and material efficiency for plastics processors.

Efficient and cost-effective cleaning of equipment after plastics processing remains a major challenge for many companies. Asahi Kasei’s Asaclean is designed for use in injection moulding, extrusion, film and sheet, blow-moulding and blown-film applications. Reported benefits include faster changeovers and reduced downtime, effective removal of colour and carbon contamination, fewer screw-pulls, lower scrap and reject rates, increased productivity and cost savings. To further enhance material and cost efficiency, Asahi Kasei has developed the new Asaclean R-Series, comprising three grades: the universal RU grade, the time-optimised RX grade, and the RE grade, which is designed for quick and efficient material changeovers.

Asahi Kasei will showcase the new Asaclean R-Series at K 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, taking place in Düsseldorf from 8–15 October 2025 (Hall 8a, Booth E23).
