Metrology specialist Automated Precision announces the launch of their 6th generation Laser Tracker: the Integrated Laser Tracker (ILT). This Laser Tracker technology has been engineered with portability and user-friendlyness in mind and features several improvements over the previous generation.

According to the company ILT is the smallest and lightest Laser Tracker ever made. Weighing just 4.9 kg, it reduces the weight of API’s Radian Laser Tracker line by 50 percent. Hot swappable batteries, on board controller, and Wi-Fi create a fully integrated unit that allows for cableless operation and portable measurement.

The Absolute Distance Measurement (ADM) laser provides data feedback faster than previous generations. The ILT’s improved 8MP camera with wide-angle I-Vision fast auto-lock ensures rapid recapture of beam loss and effortless usability in difficult to access line-of-sight measurements. The traditional CPU has been upgraded to an AI-enhanced GPU that processes data and images faster for rapid results.

Stored in a backpack that is carry-on compliant for air travel, makes it possible to bring the ILT Laser Trackers beyond the manufacturing floor and out to shipyards, modular construction sites and beyond.

ILT is available in two models: the base ILT and the high-performance ILTx. ILTx has a linear measurement range of up to 80 m and is compatible with all existing API Laser Tracker accessories. ILT is available for demonstration and purchase immediately.
