Grinding expert Anca has inaugurated a new Technology Centre in Korea, signaling a strategic expansion within the Asian market. With a history spanning over 30 years in Korea, the opening of this facility marks a significant step in the company's efforts to strengthen its presence in Asia.

Anca, a pioneer in precision grinding solutions, has recently inaugurated a new Technology Centre in Korea, marking a significant expansion of its operations within the Asian market. The company, known for its comprehensive sales and service offerings, has been operational in Korea for over 30 years, serving a wide range of industries. The establishment of this facility represents a key development for Anca as it aims to bolster its presence across Asia.

Jake Farragher, General Manager of Anca Asia, emphasized the strategic importance of the new technology center: “Anca’s newest technology centre is a commitment to our customers in Korea. This investment in our global infrastructure enables our team to deliver premium sales and service support to this important and growing market. We understand the importance of offering customers local support and at our new facility we can showcase the capability of our flexible grinding machines, world-leading software, and market-first automation solutions.”

The collaboration with SH International has contributed to Anca's longstanding innovation streak in Korea. The local team at the new office is expected to play a crucial role in advancing the success of their customers moving forward.

The company expresses enthusiasm for the new centre's role as a focal point for grinding excellence, innovation, and collaboration, reinforcing Anca's status as a global leader in the tool and cutter grinding industry, including the medical tools sector.

The Korean branch, situated near Seoul, is outfitted with the latest technologies, including Anca's Ultra technology which boasts nanometer resolution control. The demonstration facility offers the Ultra experience with the company’s MX and FX Ultra machines, alongside automation solutions through Anca’s Integrated Manufacturing System (Aims), and is supported by additional training services. The Ultra range is particularly noted for its nanotechnology, enabling the production of superior quality tools. Additionally, the AIMS system represents a significant leap in grinding technology, facilitating a digitally connected and automated production system for cutting tools.

A grand opening event was scheduled for March 5, 2024, with attendance from key stakeholders and customers, industry partners, and local dignitaries. During the opening, Anca celebrated its 50th anniversary and the introduction of Ultra technology. Co-founder Pat Boland reflected on the company’s journey, acknowledging the unforeseen growth and innovation that has characterized Anca’s history.
