At EMO 2025, Anca will present a range of new products and services designed to help cutting tool manufacturers overcome current challenges such as skilled labour shortages, changing market conditions and increasing demands for resource efficiency.
The CPX blank machining machine can now also grind non-round shapes and process raw material with sinter skin.

One focus of Anca’s trade fair appearance is Ultra technology — a combination of high-precision axis control, intelligent servo algorithms and an integrated precision package consisting of innovative mechanical components, software and AI. This technology, which is made possible by Anca’s vertical integration, is designed to significantly improve accuracy, repeatability and productivity in grinding.
Two new products based on this platform will be showcased: MicroX Ultra is a high-precision grinding machine designed for series production of micro tools with diameters as small as 0.03 mm. It features nanometre-level control, in-process laser measurement, and Anca’s proprietary spindle temperature compensation (MTC) system. A live demonstration will include the machining of a 0.3 mm ball nose end mill and a rapid wheel change sequence.
MX7 Ultra will highlight the fully automated grinding of indexable inserts with complex geometries. This production machine offers exceptional precision and is ideally suited for high-performance insert manufacturing. The machine combines 5-axis profile grinding with Anca’s MTC system and enables automated clamping including compensation of profile and cutting surfaces. As a co-exhibitor, Mitsubishi will also be showing a solution for dressing metal-bonded grinding wheels. The presentation highlights the potential of integrated processes and digital interfaces for end-to-end production efficiency.
EPX-SF: New process for precision machining of tools
Another market premiere is the EPX-SF, a machine for stream finishing, in particular for optimising tools through cutting edge preparation. Following successful validation by test customers, the machine is now being presented with a number of optimisations. These include optimised gripper technology, simplified drum change, coordinated coating technology, a 45 percent reduction in loading/unloading times to 25 seconds and intelligent fine-tuning based on process data.
CPX Linear: no blank too difficult
The CPX Linear was developed for high-productivity grinding of blanks and achieves high material removal rates that contribute to productivity, precision and process reliability. The machine achieves a surface finish of <0.2Ra and features automatic in-process measurement of the outer diameter and automatic loading for diameters from 3 to 20 mm — all within a large working area supported by a powerful roughing spindle. For EMO, the CPX has been expanded with functions for grinding surfaces on blanks and non-round shapes. In cooperation with the clamping technology experts at GDS, directly sintered blanks can now also be machined on the machines.
Software solutions for process optimisation
At EMO, Anca is presenting several new software innovations. The Insertspro package is tailored for manufacturers of indexable inserts, offering profile simulation, automation, and compensation features to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The latest Toolroom RN35 software version boosts productivity with up to 20 percent shorter cycle times, improved slot grinding, and enhanced surface quality. New features also include better simulation, drawing creation with Tooldraft, and advanced tool validation via CIM3D. Visitors in Hanover will be the first to experience these upgrades.
Forward into the future: flexible automation as the industry standard
The Anca Integrated Manufacturing System (Aims) allows manufacturers to maximise the precision and quality of their tools while minimising the cost per tool and the scrap rate and drastically reducing the amount of work involved. Intelligent automation increases productivity, scalability and repeatability and increases machine utilisation by 15-20 percent. Aims Automate stands for autonomous production and integrated control and material flow, freeing up skilled workers to focus on value-adding tasks.
Aims Connect is Anca’s solution for job management, digital work instructions and operator guidance, enabling digital production control and easy integration of existing machines. Aims Connect ensures productive manufacturing by eliminating the risk of errors caused by manual intervention and ensuring product traceability. Live demonstrations at EMO will showcase the job management and operator guidance features of Aims Connect.

A highlight of EMO will be the award ceremony for the ‘Tool of the Year’ and the ‘Female Machinist of the Year’. The awards for high-precision and creative tools on the one hand and the promotion of female professionals on the other hand use EMO as a platform to recognise the expertise and achievements that are delivered every day in the industry.
