U.S.-based Evolve Additive Solutions has announced that it will make its first public appearance at Formnext, the leading additive manufacturing conference and exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.

Evolve Additive Solution produces innovative manufacturing solutions that enable customers to manufacture in revolutionary new ways, offering technologies and solutions centered around production applications with real-world thermoplastics.

According to the company, its revolutionary selective thermoplastic electrophotographic process (Step) technology platform can improve manufacturing and enable disruptive new business models, unlocking the full capabilities of additive manufacturing (AM).

Evolve will showcase at its booth parts created by its SVP equipment, which is built on the company's innovative, production-ready AM Step technology. These parts will demonstrate the quality of the equipment’s full-speed manufacturing capabilities, which is perfect for creating complex geometries, embedded electronics, customisation, fine details and finishes, using engineering grade thermoplastics, the company says.

Evolve CEO Steve Chillscyzn said: “Our appearance at Formnext will mark a significant milestone in our growth. We are very excited to share the Evolve story and show how our technology platform creates high-quality parts.” Chillscyzn added that its industry-grade additive platform will transform innovation processes, supply chains and industry 4.0 strategies, while reducing production costs and truncating timelines.

Founded in 2017, Evolve has raised $19 million in equity funding with the Lego Brand Group and Stanley Black & Decker as lead investors in its Step platform. This platform is said to enable proprietary additive manufacturing technology designed for production at scale and can sit on a factory floor alongside traditional manufacturing processes, such as injection moulding, augmenting production capabilities and allowing for freedom of design and faster time to market without sacrificing quality or repeatability.

At Formnext, Evolve will be in Hall 12.1, Booth F29. It will also hold a press conference on the opening day, Tuesday, 19 November, from 13:45 – 14:15 in Room Candela, Portalhaus, Level C.
