3D Platform Workbench 3D printer adjusted to customers' requests
3D Platform, a manufacturer of large-format industrial-strength 3D printers, has recently launched its Workbench Pro 3D printer. According to the company, the printer features many additions based on requirements from customers.
“We’ve had a lot of success with our Workbench machine over the last 15 months. Our customers have asked us to take it to the next level, and we’ve successfully delivered on that request,” said Jonathan Schroeder, 3D Platform President. “Building on our super-reliable mechatronic system, we included a faster processor, touch-screen control, built-in Wi-Fi, 40% more print volume, and mesh bed leveling—features that our customers requested. This game-changing throughput increase will dramatically help our customers get more out of their additive workflows,”
The WorkbenchPro is a Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) additive manufacturing system with a large 1 m x 1 m x 0.7 m build area. Its industrial strength mechatronics deliver superior performance and reliability, and its Simo Series actuators and Constant Forc anti-backlash lead screws and nuts provide a rugged, industrial framework, the company says.
Other features invlude the HFA Extruder that is supposed to be twice as fast as the Workbench Classic. The Touchscreen Brainbox is equipped with a 32-bit chip and optimised firmware to produce higher quality, accuracy, and resolution detail. With its Wifi access, users can log in remotely with a mobile device. According to 3D Platform, it is possible to stop and restart printing tasks and to get detailed print information and statistics. Moreover, the Sure Print Servo Technology delivers superior print quality and cuts print time in half. Closed-loop control provides positional feedback every 1.25 microns allowing you to print layer resolutions down to 50 microns, the company says.
3D Platform points out a number of other advantages of the new 3D printer:
Touch Probe provides state-of-the-art Auto Mesh Bed Leveling up to 441 points that shortens set-up times and increases productivity. The cooling system provides rapid cooling on the print head for optimal material cooling and increased print speed and print quality. Bowden Style Tubes offer superior feed technology. Coupled with the Dual Filament Sensors, the system helps you avoid filament breaks, tangles and running out of filament.
Additionaly, the 3D printer provides a convenient wood work area, the company says. Built-in storage drawers and cabinets allow for easy access to tool and materials. Non-slip lockable casters provide safety and mobility. Enclosures for the complete Workbench family maintain temperature controls to produce better, high quality prints.
