Modern grinding processes not only demand the highest precision, but also maximum efficiency. An often underestimated lever here is the quality of the cooling lubricant used. The cleaner the medium can remain in the system for a very long time, the more efficient the grinding process — and the lower the costs.

This is precisely where Vomat filter systems come in. Thanks to their full-flow process with 100 percent separation of dirty and clean oil, users grind continuously with coolant lubricant of consistent quality (< 5 µm particle size). This not only reduces rejects and rework, but also protects machine components and tools — and therefore significantly reduces overall operating costs.

The fully automatic backwash technology, which monitors the degree of contamination of each filter element individually, is a decisive factor for economic efficiency. Backwashing only takes place when required — energy-efficient and low-wear. Meanwhile, all other filter modules continue to run without interruption. This keeps the lubricoolant supply constant and the production flow uninterrupted.

Vomat also scores highly in terms of constant temperature control, maintenance and energy costs: the precise control of the cooling lubricant temperature in the range of ± 0.2 K ensures reliable process conditions without excessive energy consumption. In addition, there are recycling concepts in which grinding sludge can be collected and processed directly in the disposal company's container — this saves disposal costs and conserves resources.
