The system was designed to offer customers a cost-efficient hot runner alternative for the production of small series or prototypes in two-cavity moulds. In such applications, cold runners are often used for cost reasons.

For variable use of the system, a linear main manifold is combined with two lateral arms of the same length. At the connecting positions to the main manifold, special pivot joint technology allows the lateral arms to be positioned within a defined angular range. Depending on the angles between the main manifold and lateral manifolds, a surface is generated within which nozzle positions and the pitch distance are freely selectable. HPS III-Flex can be used in several moulds with different pitch distances by simply dismantling the system from one mould and assembling it in the next.

AMB 2014 exceeds all expectations

HPS III-Flex comes with flow channel diameters of 6 mm and 9 mm. Because standard nozzles are used, the full range of gating options, such as direct tip gating, gating with screw-on gate bushes or valve gating, is available. The valve gate version uses a pneumatic valve pin drive. It is is fixed to the manifold and easy to integrate into the system as only simple recesses for the drive unit housing and the supply hoses are necessary in the clamping plate.

Because the main manifold and lateral manifold are fully standardised components available from stock, quick availability of the system is ensured. If most commonly used machine radius values, nozzle lengths and gating options are ordered, the system can be delivered within 24 hours.
