sp3 US cutting-tools maker sets up European subsidy in Germany

Decatur, Indiana-based sp3 Cutting Tools established a European subsidy based in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

The parent company said it has hired Rolf Schwarz to act as the logistics and service partner for the subsidiary, sp3 Cutting Tools Europe GmbH.

The company offers precision diamond and CBn cutting tools for face milling, end milling and combination milling-boring-slotting operations and says its density of cartridges provides high feed rates and excellent part quality.

“SP3’s goal is to bring sustainable production quality and economy to its customers,” the company said. Its traditional clients include automobile manufacturers in North America as well as subcontractors, die casters, and component manufacturers along with companies in aerospace, mould making, semiconductor manufacturing and sporting equipment.
