Due to its lower cost compared to previous versions, the VCN block cylinder from HPS Systems has been gradually replacing the company’s VBG model, and the unit is capable of outperforming similar block cylinders, its supplier claimed.

Due to its special architecture, the block cylinder runs up to 25% faster than cylinders with the same bore, HPS said. The company uses ISO seals; they can be standard, Viton for special temperatures or water glycol seals. Users can easily find replacement seals; other brands can require cylinder-specific seals, which may increase costs and down-time.

In addition, HPS said most of the company’s cylinders can be produced within 24-72 hours at no extra cost.
