Cutting tools UK agent adds tools for hole-making, threading and milling
The new agreements also cover a line of tiny drills.
Rainford Precision has announced the introduction of a number of tools from new suppliers.
With what is said to likely be the UK's smallest diameter range of drills, Rainford offers the Japanese-manufactured Iwata Tool drilling line. The products are available with diameters from 0.008mm to 0.100mm and flute lengths of 3xD, 6xD and 12xD, the company said.
Complementing the Iwata Tool range of micro-drills and end mills is the new Osawa line of drills and milling tools. Osawa offers an extensive range of drills from standard HSS and carbide through to coolant drills with diameters from 1mm to 30mm, with some lines offering 0.05mm or 0.1mm diameter increments, the supplier said.
In addition, to complement the increased capability in hole-making products, Rainford announced that it is also able to offer threading solutions from two different companies, Japan’s Yamawa and Swiss company Xactform. Key to Rainford teaming up with Xactform is the potential to develop specialised threadmills with either a special thread-form, overall length or extended clearance that is unavailable from alternate cutting tool suppliers, the supplier explained.
