Moulding-Expo Turning vision into reality

Germany - In November 2013, the international tool and mould industry approached Messe Stuttgart with their ideas and visions for a new tool and mould show. The renowned German trade show organiser listened closely and decided to create a new trade fair for tool, pattern and mould making. Since last April, it has been clear: Moulding-Expo will celebrate its premiere from 5 to 8 May 2015 at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds.

The market demands a clearly defined tool, pattern and mould making show,” said Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, President Messe Stuttgart. “We want to be the leading international exhibition for the tool and mould industry.” Trade shows were of great importance for the many hidden champions and SMEs in this industry, Kromer explained, who have a great deal of knowledge but rarely have a huge marketing budget. For these companies, Moulding-Expo offers an opportunity to reach potential customers in Germany, Europe and overseas.

“For a start we regard Moulding-Expo as an impetus-giver in a highly dynamic market,” commented Ulrich Hermann, president of the Federal Association of Model and Mould Making (MF). “We are convinced that exhibition centres will succeed in establishing themselves when they manage to sharpen their image and make attractive offers to exhibitors and visitors.”

“The old concepts are not appropriate anymore,” he continued. “Messe Stuttgart is really doing a good job, which means all other trade show organisers have to lift their game. Ultimately, everyone will benefit from this situation.”
