UK - Since the opening of its Technology Centre in Milton Keynes in November 2016, Solidcam UK has been holding a series of successful “Total solution” seminars to demonstrate the company's CAD/CAM and its unique and patented Solidcam 2D/3D iMachining module.
The company says it provides seamless single window integration with full associativity to the Solidworks design model and that its iMachining saves over 70% in CNC machining time and also extends tool life.
Live-cutting demonstrations to show the bottom line benefits of Solidcam iMachining were carried out using a Romi D-800 Vertical Machining Centre, provided by Romi Machines UK, work holding supplied by Machine Tool Accessories and the Hoffmann Group, and cutting tools also provided by the Hoffmann Group. Attendees could thus network with expert application engineers with regards to full manufacturing solutions and could see first-hand how iMachining can deliver and produce with significant improvements to the machining industry, while saving costs.
“The demand for our seminars is showing us that Britain is open for business and manufacturing and engineering companies are continually striving to look for companies that push the technology boundaries which SolidCAM certainly is,” Gordon Drysdale, managing director, SolidCam UK said.
