Milling Toolholders for high-pressure coolant applications extend life of inserts

Floyd Automatic Tooling said the Applitec Top-Line 700-Jet series with left and right hand toolholders accommodates inserts with two cutting edges. The 730-Jet and 740-Jet models have coolant jets 7.5 mm from the cutting edges, while the 750-Jet and 760-Jet nozzles are 10 mm from insert cutting edges. They are 100 mm long and available with 12-, 16- and 20-mm square shanks.

Floyd added that the toolholders incorporate Applitec's ridged positional system that has three teeth on the side of the insert that interlock with the identical pattern on the toolholder.
