The BlueFlow hot-runner nozzles from Günther Heisskanaltechnik offer energy savings of up to 50% and considerably more stable processes, especially with difficult materials, according to the supplier. It said energy efficiency not only equals a direct reduction in cost per finished part, but it also generates increased value in the form of higher quality and expanded possibilities for design.

The theme of energy efficiency is not only a currently relevant politically ecological argument, the company said, but one that can also bring in cash. Rising energy prices mean energy costs make up an ever increasing proportion of the total costs of plastics processing. There are no signs at present of an end to the price increases, it noted, adding that the lowering of energy costs is considerably important if injection moulding companies are to continue to be competitive.

Numerous patents are said to underline the role of the company with respect to the processing of technically high-quality, filled or flame-retardant thermoplastics. It noted that its most important customer sectors are the automotive industry, medical technology, optical and electrical engineering industries and consumer and packaging technology. It offers a range of special solutions along with standard systems.
