Agathon Suitable for clean room applications
Switzerland – Agathon will be presenting two new, backlash-free, round fine centering systems designed to center two plates or mould halves.
The patent-pending systems are available in diameters 15 and 25 and complete the company's range of round fine centering systems. According to Agathon, they feature a 50% increased centering stroke and are especially suitable for the requirements of high-temperature and clean room applications. The preloaded fine centerings are made from rolling bearing steel and allow for backlash-free closing of tools, the supplier says. Compared with guide bloc centering devices, the round fine centering is said to be characterised by high initial load capacity, durability, minimal maintenance, lower overall cost and space-saving installation. The round fine centering system is available in six standard sizes from stock.
