Additive manufacturing Stratasys strengthens service offerings with consulting team
UK/United States- 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing (AM) solutions company Stratasys has expanded its Services Group with the addition of Econolyst, a UK-based AM and 3D printing consultancy and research firm.
Econolyst’s team, led by Phil Reeves, a 20-year industry veteran in the AM space, will form the foundation of the new Stratasys Strategic Consulting Division.
According to the company, the division will complement Stratasys’ other service offerings, which are designed to help customers build their AM vision and strategy, support implementation and optimise 3D printing workflows. With this move, Stratasys aims to help organisations better understand the value of AM, increasing adoption over time.
“We believe that AM technology is poised to enter a new phase of increased adoption in a broad range of industries, disrupting traditional manufacturing processes,” said David Reis, Chief Executive Officer of Stratasys. “Expanding our services offering is a key pillar of our investment plan to capitalise on this opportunity. The addition of Dr. Reeves and his team will further strengthen Stratasys’ services capabilities.”
