Europa Science and the trade journal Laser Systems Europe are hosting the event with support from the Laser Institute of America and Lasys organiser Messe Stuttgart. Experts from the laser industry are scheduled to present their views on all three days of the fair, which runs from 12 to 14 June. The forum offers information on laser technologies and a comprehensive and diverse programme of case studies and application presentations along with an overview of various laser technologies.

Representatives from laser companies will discuss a range of material processing applications for lasers with over 25 presentations. They include the advantages of using femtosecond lasers for industrial microprocessing and mobile laser processing of large workpieces. The laser microwelding of polymers and the cutting of any type of material by means of medium-pulsed CO2 lasers also will be examined.

Other topics scheduled for discussion include cutting display glass with picosecond lasers, marking medical devices, lasers applications in manufacturing tanks and boilers, and the lens formation for efficient microprocessing.

The third day of the forum explores laser technology in the automotive industry. Several user-oriented trade shows with an auto industry focus are taking place in parallel to Lasys at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre.
