The edge chamfer is said to ensure high edge stability, and the twist angle and the unequal cutting pitch produce a top running smoothness and surface quality.

The flat-shaped solid carbide cutters suit roughing and finishing, the company said, adding that the tools can perform plunge milling since cutting edges are applied over centre. Chip removal flow is very good due to optimised chip spaces, Jongen reported.

The diameter of the cutters range from 3mm to 20mm. Starting with a diameter of 5mm, regrinding becomes economical, the company added.
