Partnership Software supplier teams with machine tool maker
Missler Software and Haas Automation Europe have worked closely together on 5-axis machining.

French CAD/CAM software vendor Missler and US CNC machine tool builder Haas Automation have announced increased collaboration for the development of an easy-to-use, affordable, high productivity 5-axis machining solution.
Missler reported the development and testing of a powerful, specific 5-axis TopSolid’Cam post-processor adapted to the Haas UMC-750 universal machining centre for 5-axis positioning and full 5-axis continuous machining.
Dominique Laffret, Missler’s vice-president of strategic relationships, said: “Thanks to this cooperation, companies have access to an easy-to-use, yet precise 5-axis simultaneous machining solution, capable of delivering high performance and reliability coupled with a high degree of flexibility.”

The supplier said the UMC-750/CAD-CAM Top Solid Cam package provides a “concrete response” to the needs of companies who want to make machining operations faster and easier to achieve productivity and time gains
Bert Maes, marketing manager at Haas Automation Europe, said “Top Solid Cam offers flawless ISO programming for successful production on the Haas UMC-750. We have worked closely in setting up a series of simulation tests.”
He noted that test results have shown the software fits the programming requirements of the machining centre. In addition, the tests have shown that the unit can handle the most difficult parts developed by Missler Software in its category.
